Veridonia Terms of Use
Veridonia is a free, community-governed platform for curating high-quality information through transparent public participation. By using the platform, you agree to the following principles.
1. Participation and Identity
Veridonia is for people aged 16 and over. No account is needed to read. To take part — post, comment, vote — you must be at least 16, and you sign in with an email or social account, or continue as an anonymous user: an anonymous account is created only when you choose it, needs no email or password, and can do everything a signed-in account can. If you sign out or lose the device you cannot sign back in to it unless you have linked an email or a social account. All contributions and voting influence are tied to your reputation, not your identity.
2. What's Expected of You
- Act in good faith: Vote and contribute based on quality, not bias or self-interest.
- Respect the commons: Avoid spam, abuse, and coordinated manipulation.
- No objectionable content or abusive users: There is no tolerance for objectionable content (harassment, hate, sexual content, violence, illegal content) or for abusive users. Content that breaks these terms is removed. A removal by the community or its editors costs the account that posted it standing, and with it the ability to post freely: the lower an account's standing, the longer it must wait before it can post again, up to a month.
- Accept community decisions: Content is evaluated by peer voting and reputation scores.
- Protect the platform: Don't exploit or subvert its processes or infrastructure.
- Don't share illegal content: Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), content sexualising or exploiting minors, and content promoting violence against children are strictly prohibited. Confirmed violations result in removal of the content — a removal not subject to community appeal — and reports to NCMEC, IWF, and other relevant authorities.
3. What You Can Expect
- Fairness: Influence is earned through transparent, merit-based reputation (ELO).
- Privacy and funding: Community feeds are always free to read. Advertising is never an option; only private-benefit features may ever be paid. We do not sell your data; the Privacy Policy says what we collect and why.
- Auditability: All moderation and voting actions are on the record; a settled decision can be read by anyone.
4. Governance and Enforcement
Moderation is performed by the community, and every step of it is on the record. A member who is not the author can report a post or comment, with a reason; the report becomes a question for the community's editors, decided by majority, and on a tie, a missed deadline or too little turnout the content stays. An editor can also remove content directly, with a stated reason. Any removal can be appealed by the author, and the appeal is decided by a fresh panel drawn from the community's editors; the person who removed it does not sit on that panel. Anyone, with or without an account, can report content they believe is illegal, of any kind, or abusive by writing to info@astraplex.tech, and we act on these reports ourselves within 24 hours. Repeated abuse or harmful behaviour costs standing, and standing is what governs how often you can post, comment, and report — so it becomes slower and harder to keep doing.
5. Who Runs Veridonia
