Data Deletion Policy — Veridonia

1. How to Request Deletion

From the app or website: Open Settings → Delete account and confirm. Your account is deleted at once.

If you've lost access and can't sign in, email support@veridonia.com with the subject "Delete My Account" and include the email address or username of the account.

2. What Is Deleted

Once deletion is confirmed, we delete your private data:

• Your email address, your username and your profile photo.
• Your password, and the links to any Google, Apple, Facebook or Reddit account you signed in with.
• Your drafts and your notifications. A picture you added to a draft you never submitted is not deleted from our storage, but once the draft is gone nothing on Veridonia links to it.
• Your block list, and your sign-up source (which of our pages brought you in, if one did).
• Your identity on any bug reports you sent. The reports themselves are kept without it; copies already emailed to our team when you sent them are not changed.
• Your sessions, which signs you out everywhere, and the push tokens and browser subscriptions used to send you notifications.
• Your community memberships and the list of IP addresses linked to your account.

3. What Stays on the Public Record

To preserve the transparency and integrity of community decisions, your public contributions stay public, but no longer carry your name:

• Your posts and comments, and the pictures in them, stay where they are, shown under the name "[deleted]" with no email address or name attached.
• Your votes and your standing history stay on the record under "[deleted]" too, so every decision you took part in can still be read and checked.

4. What We Keep to Protect the Platform

We keep the rating record for each IP address your account used. Each record holds the address, a number (the lowest standing among the accounts that have used that address, which deleting your account never raises), and when the record was created and last changed. It is not linked to your account. We keep it so that deleting an account and joining again cannot reset standing. It has no fixed expiry today.

Our security logs, which record the IP address of each request, are deleted within 30 days, as described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Timeframe

Deletion from the app or website happens at once. A deletion request sent by email is completed within 7 days. Deleted data can remain in our encrypted backups for up to 90 days, until those backups expire, and is never restored into a live account.
